Program Overview

The structured nature of the program means there is a clear sequence to the coursework, starting with fundamental courses on Python and math and incorporating courses on analytics and machine learning along the way before culminating in a Capstone Project.

The program is offered in 8-week sessions across an academic calendar comprising 3 semesters and 6 sessions each year. While the prerequisite chain built into the program means that you can take at most 2 courses in a given session, you will have flexibility in determining how quickly you complete the program, anywhere from 12 months to 2 years. This flexibility allows you to balance your professional and personal commitments while you advance your education.

As a student in our online program, you will engage with a 50/50 mix of asynchronous and synchronous activities, providing you with the perfect blend of flexibility, structure, and interaction. The asynchronous elements of the program will include recorded content, readings, and select coding exercises and assignments, all of which will help you rapidly advance your knowledge and skills.

Synchronous activities – including weekly Q&A and coding sessions – will provide opportunities for structured interaction with faculty and industry experts and allow for a deeper dive into core topics, tools, and techniques. Group work is also a key aspect, where you will work with fellow students to tackle real-world business challenges from industry partners.

In addition, the program will also feature regular optional sessions tailored to meet individual needs and interests, including:

  • Microsoft certification sessions designed to help students prepare for and obtain an array of certifications; and
  • Coding sessions to support students who have never developed software code or would like to hone their coding expertise.

With this highly structured yet varied and flexible offering, The MSADS program will allow you to customize your learning journey according to your professional goals, time constraints, and preferred learning style
