Introduction

Overview

Vedere Institute defines an academic appeal as a request from a student for a review of an academic decision made by:

  • A faculty member in relation to assessment or the final grade for a course.
  • The Assessment Board in relation to academic progression or the award of a degree.

The Academic Appeals Policy may not be used to:

  • Review a decision made on an extenuating circumstances request.
  • Review the outcome of academic misconduct or general misconduct cases.
  • Review a withdrawal decision due to tuition or a breach of the Enrollment Agreement.
  • Raise a concern or make a formal complaint about a program-related matter.
