Ineligible Extenuating Circumstances

However, the following situations will not be considered grounds for an extension:

  • Minor health issues
  • Social commitments
  • Pre-planned leave

Please note that routine work pressure alone is not considered a valid reason for a deadline extension. However, in rare cases, we may consider work-related challenges for extension requests, especially for frontline healthcare staff. In such cases, verification from the employer regarding the increased workload’s impact will be required.

Please note, too, that extensions due to extenuating circumstances will not be granted if there is ample time before the submission date for the student to complete their assignments satisfactorily.
